The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced that it will organize the third tournament, following the success of the previous two events of the FIBA ​​Esports Open tournament, the first esports organization where national teams compete. The third tournament will be held with the participation of 60 countries, which will begin on the 16th of April, Turkey will also be among those countries.

There will be six regional conferences at FIBA ​​Esports Open 3, as in the second tournament. South East Asia, Africa and Middle East conferences will have 6 teams, North and Central America will have 8 teams. For the first time in the tournament, the North and Central American and European Conferences will consist of two parts: Current Generation (PS4) and Next Generation (PS5).

The matches at FIBA ​​Sports Open 3 will be played over three different weekends. The tournament, which will start with the South East Asia, Africa, Middle East conferences on 16-18 April, will continue with North and Central America (Current Generation) and Europe (Current Generation) on 23-25 ​​April. In the last week, teams from North and Central America (Next Generation), Europe (Next Generation) and South America will play on 7-9 May.

As in previous tournaments, all matches will be broadcast live on FIBA’s digital channels Facebook, Twitch and YouTube. Group stage matches can also be watched on Facebook and YouTube.
