(ABSTRACT) Anadolu Efes – Gaziantep Basketball game result: 96-73


In the first match of ING Basketball Super League play-off quarter final series, Anadolu Efes defeated Empera Halı Gaziantep Basketball 96-73 at its court and moved ahead 1-0 in the series.

In the first match of ING Basketball Super League play-off quarter final series, Anadolu Efes hosted Empera Halı Gaziantep Basketball. In the first 5 minutes of the fight, the home team was effective with Moerman, while the Gaziantep team produced scores with Kelly. With 4:50 remaining, the away team led the television timeout by 3 points: 8-11. In the remaining part, Anadolu Efes took the advantage of the game with Micic coming from the sidelines and closed the first quarter ahead 22-18.

The host team, which was effective in the second period, increased the gap to 10 with a two-point field goal from Sertaç Şanlı with 8:29 remaining: 28-18. Anadolu Efes, which made an effective start in the last period, increased the difference to 31 with a two-point hit from Yiğitcan with 5:03 before the end of the match: 88-57. Although Gaziantep Basketball lost the difference in the remaining part, Anadolu Efes won the competition 96-73. Moerman played 20 points in Anadolu Efes, while Jaiteh was the top scorer of the game with 26 points in Gaziantep Basketball.

The second match of the series will be played on Sunday, May 16 in Gaziantep. Anadolu Efes will have its name written in the semi-finals if it also wins that match.
