Athletic has a space in its summer calendar for a duel in Bizkaia

ANDl Athletic will complete a preseason schedule this week that to date only has 4 games between July 17 and 31. The team will play more games before facing the league debut on the third weekend of August. All confirmed appointments will be held abroad – three in Switzerland and one in Germany – but the schedule includes the possibility of playing in the territory. It remains to be seen if the club will decide to organize a friendly in San Mamés once the authorities have given free rein to the presence of the public., although the percentage of the capacity will depend on the decision taken by the Basque Government in this regard.

On Five of the last ten preseason the rojiblanco team has started its journey of friendlies with duels in Bizkaia. The lions faced the events with hardly any leg training against Arenas (19-20), Amorebieta (18-19), Txorierri Selection (15-16), Getxo Selection (14-15) and Bermeo (13-14). Athletic will have 9 training days before traveling to Bad Ragaz (Switzerland) on July 16, while on the return of their stay they have 6 days without prior commitments to the Berlin-Athletic Union. From there, the team will enter the last two weeks of preparation, which is in which play at least two more friendly matches.

Amorebieta, recently promoted to Liga Smartbank and that this season will play its matches in Lezama, has set a duel with Alavés (July 17) and due to pace and preseason dates it could be one of the candidates to complete any of the matches of fine tuning on this first leg of the preseason or when LaLiga stops through the FIFA windows in September and October.
