Defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 103-96 in the American Basketball League (NBA) play-offs, the Atlanta Hawks won the series 4-3 and advanced to the Eastern Conference finals.
NBA play-offs continued with 2 games. After the Utah Jazz, the leader of the regular season in the Western Conference, the 76ers at the top of the East said goodbye to the play-offs. The Hawks were victorious in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, where they hosted the 76ers.
Kevin Huerter, who played with 27 points and 7 rebounds, drew the Hawks’ score load, which will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern final. Trae Young had a “double double” with 21 points, 10 assists, and John Collins added 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Joel Embiid’s 31 points, 11 rebounds and Tobias Harris’ 24 points and 14 rebounds in the 76ers could not prevent the defeat. Furkan Korkmaz, who started the game in the top 5, produced 5 points and 2 rebounds.
Suns lead 1-0 in West final
The first game of the Western Conference finals series between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers was won by the home Suns 120-114.
Suns all-star Devin Booker scored his first career triple double with 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Booker became the first Suns player to have a “triple double” in the playoffs since Steve Nash (2005). Deandre Ayton also contributed 20 points and 9 rebounds.
On the Clippers front, Paul George had 34 points, 5 assists and Reggie Jackson had 24 points and 6 rebounds.
