Mike Evans had three touchdowns, including the 600th touchdown pass in Tom Brady’s career, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Chicago Bears, for which quarterback Justin Fields threw 184 yards and three interceptions.
Tom Brady surpassed 600 career passes on another landmark night for the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback as he threw four more to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a resounding 38-3 win over Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago quarterback was sacked four times in the first round by Fields and finished with three interceptions, as well as three fumbles, two of which he lost, in a run that saw the Bears come second in all phases of the competition.
Fields’ first encounter with his iconic counterpart, specifically bumping into an Ohio quarterback for the first time in his twenty-year NFL career, resulted in unrelenting learning curves as the Bucs scored through Leonard Fournett in the first leg before turning the interception into Chris. “The big guys in front were amazing, they were great at defending passes, I missed too many shots today,” Brady said in his post-match interview. “Good win, 38: 3, we will learn from that, take the good and learn from the bad.
“I am very fortunate to have played with so many great teammates over the years, I have amazing people receiving these awards (600 touchdowns).”
