Pınar Karşıyaka Men’s Basketball Team defeated Israel representative Hapoel Bank Yahav 86-84 in the first match of FIBA Champions League Group B.
The first quarter of the match, played at Pais Arena in the city of Jerusalem, ended with Pınar Karşıyaka’s 22-19 superiority, but the home team went ahead 45-44 into the locker room. Hapoel Bank Yahav increased the lead to 2 points (64-62) before the last 10 minutes. The home team was ahead 84-83 in the last 7 seconds of the contentious 4th quarter. But Pınar Karşıyaka won the field 86-84 with Colson’s three-pointer with 2 seconds left.
Bringing the match to Pınar Karşıyaka, Colson had a “double double” with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Blackmon also scored 19 points with a 70 percent field goal.
