While FIBA has determined the calendar of EuroBasket 2022, it has been announced that the 41st European Basketball Championship will start on Saturday, September 1, 2022, with the opening matches of Spain – Bulgaria in Group A in Tbilisi and Germany – France in Group B in Cologne.
The calendar of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket) 2022 has been determined. The calendar has been prepared taking into account the preferred match start times of the four hosts Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany and Italy, as well as FIBA’s broadcast partners.
The 41st of Europe’s biggest event will start on Saturday, September 1, 2022, with the opening matches of Spain – Bulgaria in Group A in Tbilisi, Germany – France in Group B in Cologne.
The four teams that finish first in each of the four groups will advance to the Round of 16. The Round of 16 and finals will be held exclusively in Berlin, Germany, from September 10-18. The final and third place matches will be played on Sunday, September 18.
