Having managed to enter the top 5 in 4 of the last 5 championships, the nationals won their first medal in their history in 2011. At the European Championship held in Poland, the National Team reached the final. Facing Russia in the final, the national team lost 59-42 and were content with the silver medal.

The national team continued its debut in the 2013 European Championship. Losing to the host France in the semi-finals, A National Team beat Serbia differently and came in third and got the bronze medal.

Despite not winning a medal in 2015 and 2017, Turkey finished the tournament in the top 5.

The national team could not continue its debut in the 2019 European Championship. Participating in the organization held in Serbia with Italy, Slovenia and Hungary, Turkey finished last in the group with 2 defeats and 1 win and said goodbye to the championship early.
