On May 14, Floyd Mayweather returns to a boxing ring. He will be competing in an exhibition bout against Don Moore. The fight will take place on the Burj Al Arab Hotel helipad in Dubai, UAE.
Mayweather made his pro debut in 1996. The man once called “Pretty Boy” has won titles in the super-featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and light-middleweight divisions. He retired with a record of 50-0. Mayweather has faced some of the most legendary fighters in the world, including Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Jose Luis Castillo, Ricky Hatton and Shane Mosley. “Money” initially retired in 2015 after beating Manny Pacquiao and Andre Berto, coming back in 2017 to face and beat Conor McGregor.
His last exhibition fight was against Logan Paul in Miami in 2021. He went the distance in a fight that was not officially scored. Mayweather has also competed in another exhibition, beating kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa via TKO in 2018.
Moore competed in the ring from 1999 to 2016. He was trained by Floyd’s late uncle Roger Mayweather. The last time he fought was in 2016, beating DeShaun Williams via knockout.
