Former Fenerbahce Ekpe Udoh on his way to Virtus Bologna

Having won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahçe Beko, one of our representatives, Ekpe Udoh is getting ready to experience his first European adventure after the Fenerbahçe era with the Italian team Virtus Bologna.

Ekpe Udoh, who wore Fenerbahçe Beko jersey between 2015-17 and won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship with the Yellow-Navy Blues in 2017, is preparing to return to Europe. A favorite of Fenerbahçe fans, the 34-year-old tall is about to sign with Virtus Bologna, the Italian team aiming to win the 7DAYS EuroCup.

While the Bologna press devoted wide coverage to the transfer, Il Resto del Carlino also stated that Virtus Bologna would not have a problem with the transfer and that his interest in the player would result in a positive outcome.

Ekpe Udoh, who left Fenerbahçe after winning the EuroLeague Final Four MVP in 2017, later played for the Utah Jazz in the NBA and Beijing Ducks and Beijing Royal Fighters in China. The Nigerian player is preparing to fight in Europe again under the form of Virtus Bologna.
