Galatasaray Wheelchair Basketball Team has added Canadian player Patrick Anderson to its staff.

According to the information on the club’s website, the yellow-red team reached an agreement with the 42-year-old player.

Born in Edmonton, Canada and started basketball in 1990, Anderson won the world championship in 1997 and 2001 with the Canadian Youth National Team.

Anderson, who won the gold medal with the national team at the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games, became a part of the team that achieved the same success in the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games. Anderson took part in the team that won the silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.

Anderson, who decided to retire after the Beijing Paralympic Games, moved to New York City, USA to realize her dream of becoming a musician. Returning to basketball in 2011, the player succeeded in winning a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics again with the Canadian jersey.
