The 3rd of 4 eliminations of the Red Bull Half Court, where everyone who formed their team of three, can participate, was held in Istanbul with the support of Beşiktaş Municipality. After qualifying at the redesigned Abbasağa Basketball Court, Wissam Ben Yeter, IstanBull’s, What’s Up With Hercules and Hercules made it to the finals. The excitement of qualifying for Turkey in the Red Bull Half Court 3×3 Basketball Tournament, one of the biggest street basketball tournaments in Turkey, is slowly approaching the final. The third of 4 eliminations for the Red Bull Half Court, where teams of three will compete to become the Turkish Champion, was held in Istanbul with the support of Beşiktaş Municipality.
As in all elimination points, the fight in Istanbul was played at the redesigned Abbasağa Basketball Court. At the end of the qualifying in Istanbul, the teams of Wissam Ben Yeter, IstanBull’s, What’s Up and Hercules made their mark in the Turkey Final.
The excitement of Red Bull Half Court, which started with the first elimination on 12 June in Bursa, stopped in Ankara on 19 June. After the third elimination held in Istanbul, the competition will be moved to Izmir on July 9 and all the finalists of the tournament will be announced. The team that will become the champion of Turkey at the end of 4 eliminations will be finalized with the final matches to be played in İzmir. The team, which overcame its rivals and became the champion of Turkey, will have the opportunity to represent our country in the world finals to be held in Russia in September. Basketball fans, who said ‘the field is mine’, struggled to make the best design for the floor where the final will be played. Among the designs made, the best was the one implemented by Dilara Uçar. This design will decorate the field where the Turkish Final will be played in Izmir. Thus, Uçar’s design will live in an area that will be enjoyed by all street basketball players, together with his own signature.
To win you need to be the first team to reach 21 points
Red Bull Half Court 3×3 Basketball Tournament is known as one of the biggest tournaments of 3×3 basketball, which will take place for the first time in the Olympic Games to be held this year.
Teams in the organization consist of 3 main and 1 substitute players. Matches are played over 10 minutes or 21 points. The team that reaches 21 points first or has the advantage of scoring at the end of 10 minutes wins the match. If the scores of the two teams are equal at the end of the match, the fight goes to overtime. The team that scores 2 points in overtime also wins the match.
