Galatasaray announced that former national basketball player Kerem Tunceri has been appointed as the general director of the Men’s Basketball Team. Tunceri, who grew up in the infrastructure of the yellow and red club, played basketball in Galatasaray between 1996-2000.

In the statement made on the official website of the club;

“Kerem Tunceri has been appointed as the general director of our Galatasaray Men’s Basketball Team.

Kerem Tunceri, who started basketball in Galatasaray infrastructure, wore the jersey of our club between 1996-2000. During his career, at the top of European basketball, Kerem Tunceri, who played numerous matches at club and national team level, won 4 league championships and 4 Presidential Cups in Turkey, while he won the EuroCup and Spanish League championships with Real Madrid in Spain.

Having served our national team for years as one of the greatest talents Turkish basketball has produced, Tunceri became the player who played the most in this category with a total of 311 matches and 215 matches with the A National team uniform. He took part in the squad of the teams that won the silver medal in the 2001 European Basketball Championship and the 2010 World Championship.

Kerem Tunçeri ended his professional basketball career in the 2015-2016 season and was appointed as the Men’s National Team Manager in the Turkish Basketball Federation. Serving Turkish basketball both as a player and as a manager, Kerem Tunceri will serve for our club from the new season.
