In the quarter-final match of the championship held in Pescara, Italy, the first period was finished with a 17-17 tie. Seizing the score advantage in the second period, Poland went ahead 32-24 at the halftime.
Opening the gap in the second half, Poland beat the national team 74-50 in the third period, surpassing it 50-35 in the third period, and reached the semi-finals.
