Yukatel Merkezefendi Municipality Denizli Basket, the new team of ING Basketball Super League, defeated BC Budivelnik Kiev 80-79 in their first friendly match. Merkezefendi, who participated in the Gloria Cup International Men’s Basketball Tournament in Antalya, finished the first period 26-20 and the first half 37-36 against the Ukraine team.
Denizli team, leading 64-56 in the third quarter, won the hall 80-79, while Nate Sestina, one of the new signings, had 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, Richards Lomazs 17 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, Matt Hollowell 12 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, Adam Smith 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, Davonte Upson 6 points, 3 rebounds.
