Playing in the FIBA Under-20 Girls European Challenger Group C hosted by Konya, the Under-20 Girls National Basketball Team defeated Belarus in the third match with a score of 83-59.
A Women’s National Team Head Coach Ceyhun Yıldızoğlu and TBF officials followed the match played at Konya Sports and Congress Center. The Nationals started the fight with Derin Erdoğan, Duygu Özen, Sude Yılmaz, Melek Uzunoğlu and Zeynep Şevval Gül. Turkey finished the first half of the match ahead 50-31. Zeynep Şevval Gül scored 22 points, Gökşen Fitik 13 points, Şevval Akalan 11 points, Melek Uzunoğlu and Derin Erdoğan 10 points each in the Under-20 Girls’ National Team. Jana Liabedzich scored 12 points for Belarus.
Turkey will face Portugal in its 4th match on Saturday, July 17 at 18:00.
