Alvin Camara made 10 traps at 128 yards and landed, aiming 51 yards to set an NFL record, hitting 3000 receiving yards and 3000 yards running in 66 career games, breaking the mark set by former 49ers star Roger Craig when the Saints won … Seahawks 13-10

Brian Johnson scored 33 yards from the field from 1:56 to the end of his NFL debut as the New Orleans Saints capitalized on a string of Seattle mistakes and beat the Seahawks 13-10 on Monday night.

Two of the Seahawks’ biggest mistakes came at the New Orleans decisive strike, when Seattle was flagged for rough handling and jumping offside on a prolonged field goal. Both penalties gave New Orleans their first dips before Johnson’s ball pushed the Saints ahead after a two-minute warning.

Johnson, a rookie at Virginia Institute of Technology, earned an extra point and both goal attempts from 21 yards in the first half.

“It was hard to figure out what the wind was doing because it was constantly changing during the pre-game and in-game,” Johnson said. “So just stick with my plan I had and I really focus on just hitting the ball and getting some good contact that will cut through the wind.”

Smith made his second QB start for Seattle (2-5) as Wilson sustained a severe toe injury from a loss to the Rams. The backup hit DC Metcalfe with an 84-yard touchdown in the first quarter, but got nowhere when the Seahawks had their last chance to level or win.

He was fired in consecutive games by Malcolm Jenkins and Demario Davis before being put under pressure again in the fourth and 28th scores, as his shot at Metcalfe was not completed. The veteran walked 12 of 22 for 167 yards – half on Metcalfe’s touchdown shot – and was sacked five times as Davis, Cameron Jordan and others made his night uncomfortable.

Seattle lost three games in a row for the first time since 2011 and fell at home to 0-3 for the first time since 1992, when Wilson was eliminated until at least mid-November.

“I’ve been here for a long time, and if we didn’t have Russell, I probably wouldn’t have been here for a long time because of all the magic he has created over the years,” said coach Pete Carroll.

Kamara finished with 10 catches for 128 yards and a 13-yard touchdown reception at the end of the first half, bringing his fifth regular season game to double-digit receptions. He also threw 51 yards.
