Coach Zafer Aktaş evaluated the season in Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediye Basket, who managed to stay in the league even in the last week in his first season in the ING Basketball Super League. Aktaş said, “As the Yukatel Merkezefendi Municipality Basketball team, we completed our first season in the ING Basketball Super League. In line with the long-term goals of our club, we ensured staff stability and defeated very important teams such as Galatasaray, Pınar Karşıyaka, Darüşşafaka, Bursaspor, Beşiktaş with a much more modest budget than our competitors. Besides, I think that we have strengthened Denizli’s place on the basketball map of our country with the basketball and struggle we put forward in Anadolu Efes away and Fenerbahçe games on our field.”
