Edmond kuri slim, nephew of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, one of the world’s greatest fortunes, has achieved the minimum guarantees to stand for election for the presidency of the Royal Society Gymnastic of Torrelavega, Cantabrian team that plays in Third division.
The Royal Gymnastic Society has informed its members and supporters, through a statement, that two candidates have met, initially and pending verification of the signatures by the electoral board, the minimum required of 61 endorsements to be able to appear to the elections of the presidency of the torrelaveguense entity.
Along with Edmond Kuri Slim, the other candidate who has obtained the endorsements has been the ex-footballer of the Gimnástica Siro del Barrio, which has presented a total of 119 guarantees, compared to the 71 that a representative of Kuri Slim has deposited in the club.
The electoral board will verify the collected signatures on the part of both candidacies and, in the event that both go ahead, the electoral campaign will begin on Wednesday 31.
This campaign will run until Friday, April 9, two days before the elections, Sunday April 11.
