L3rd section of the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia has dismissed the appeals of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Barcelona and the CUP and therefore maintains the agreement to modify the General Metropolitan Plan in the area of the lands that make up the Espai Barça.
This court decision means the definitive green light to the urban reorganization process that will make the construction of the Espai Barça possible.
Now it remains to be seen what decision the new Board of Directors makes on this project after the financial difficulties that the club is going through. Laporta has been a supporter of Espai Barça but it has not ruled out certain modifications with respect to the plan of the previous Directive.
