One of the Basketball Super League teams, TOFAŞ signed a professional contract with Bülent Hamza Çelik, who plays in its infrastructure and wears the Ümit National Team jersey.
According to the statement made by the blue-green club, a 5-year contract was signed with the 18-year-old and 2.11-meter tall player.
Bülent Hamza Çelik, who was born on June 16, 2003 and is 2.11 cm tall, works in the power forward (4) position.
Hamza Celik, who started basketball with the Istanbul Metropolitan Belediyespor infrastructure, transferred to the Tofaş infrastructure at the beginning of 2019.
In the 2019-2020 Season, Hamza Çelik played in 17 games in the Basketball Junior League with the Tofaş BGL Youth Team and averaged 3.9 points-3.1 rebounds per game, and scored 8.8 points-2.3 rebounds-1.3 blocks in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament.
Playing in the Garanti BBVA Basketball Youth League, where they came second in Turkey with the BGL Youth Team in the 2020-2021 Season, with an average of 7.7 points-4.7 rebounds-1.3 assists-1 blocks in 12 games, Hamza also scored 6 points-4.3 rebounds in Adidas Next Generation Tournament 2021. He averaged 1 assist.
Hamza Çelik averaged 2.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in the FIBA Under-16 Men’s European Championship, which was held in Italy in 2019 and where our U16 National Team finished fifth. Recently, Hamza was invited to the U19 Junior National and U20 National Hope National Teams.
