The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced that Turkey will host the Under-17 World Cup to be held between 2024 and 2026.
After reviewing the Under-17 (U17) and Under-19 (U19) Basketball World Cup nominations for both men and women, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Central Board has confirmed the hosts of the upcoming youth world cups.

Accordingly, Turkey will host the FIBA U17 World Cups, which will take place in 2024 and 2026. The FIBA U17 World Cup 2024 will take place in Turkey between 29 June and 7 July, and the 2026 Championship will take place in Turkey between 27 June and 5 July.

One of FIBA’s long-term strategic goals is to develop youth basketball in order to increase development opportunities for young players, coaches and national federations. With this goal, Mexico and Switzerland hosted a world-class FIBA event for the first time.
The FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2023 will be held in Madrid between 15-23 July and the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup will be held in Debrecen between 24 June and 2 July.
