The FIBA 2021 Men’s Under-19 World Cup, which will be hosted by Riga and Daugavpils, Latvia between July 3-11, was drawn to the draw.
The draw for the FIBA 2021 Men Under 19 World Cup to be held between July 3-11, hosted by Riga and Daugavpils cities of Latvia, was held. The Turkish Under-19 National Basketball Team matched with the USA, Australia and Mali in Group D.
The nationals competing in the final against Spain in the Under-18 European Championship held in 2019, had the right to participate in the World Cup due to their success in this tournament.
The groups in the FIBA 2021 Men’s Under-19 World Cup were formed as follows:
GROUP A: Canada, Lithuania, Japan, Senegal
GROUP B: Latvia, Serbia, Iran, Puerto Rico
GROUP C: Spain, France, Korea, Argentina
GROUP D: Turkey, USA, Australia, Mali
The USA has 7 championships in the Under-19 World Cup, which has been held since 1979. Together with the USA, Serbia, Greece, Lithuania, Australia, Spain, Canada and Yugoslavia won the championships once each. In the last World Cup held in Heraklion, Greece in 2019, the USA won the gold medal by defeating Mali 93-79.
In the organization held in Heraklion, Greece in 2015, our national team defeated host Greece 80-71 in the third place match and won the bronze medal in the tournament. (DHA)
