Turkey Women’s Basketball League team from Izmir Urla and Çeşme representing Belediyespor Basketball Super League weeks left in the season managed to stay in the race prior to the play-offs.
The first foundations were laid in 1946 and Urla, which has been stable in women’s basketball for years, and Çeşme, which has made a breakthrough this season, put the Play-Off ticket in their pockets 4 weeks before the end of the regular season despite the coronavirus pandemic.
After the two teams guaranteed the Play-Off, Çeşme, the host, won the Izmir derby, which they played at the weekend, 84-66. Two representatives of the Çeşme-Urla-Karaburun Peninsula took a photo of friendship before the fight. The two teams, which won 13 wins in each of the 25 matches they played, will compete in the Play-Off for the Super League after completing the last 3 weeks of the regular season. (DHA)
