At the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague postponement match, Russian team Zenit hosted Greek representative Panathinaikos. Zenit was ahead 26-22 in the first period in the match played at Yubileyny Sports Hall in Saint Petersburg, and finished the half ahead 47-40.
The Russian team, leading 76-60 in the last quarter by widening the difference in the third period, won the match by 112-83. Zenit finished the season in 8th place with this win and became Barcelona’s opponent in the quarter-finals.
At Zenit, Kevin Pangos played an important role in his team’s victory by scoring a “double-double” with 33 points and 11 assists. (AA)
