After Golden State edged out Memphis in Game 1 behind a clutch bucket from Klay Thompson and a missed game-winning layup attempt by Ja Morant, the Grizzlies responded to avoid going down 2-0 on their home floor.
This time around, Morant was an unstoppable force, scoring whenever he wanted on his way to 47 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. He carried the Grizzlies to the finish line, scoring Memphis’ final 15 points in the game to come away with the victory.
Morant produced a few highlights down the stretch that were Hoopmixtape-worthy.
Can Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green come up with an answer to stop the 22-year-old phenom from taking a 2-1 lead in Golden State? The Grizzlies will need to win at least one of the next two games at the Chase Center in order to regain home-court advantage in the series.
