Nikos Zisis, a former player of Fenerbahçe Beko, one of our representatives in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, ended his basketball career.

Nikos Zisis, one of the most important playmakers of the 2000s in European basketball, announced that he ended his acting career in basketball. Zisis, who spent the past season with AEK, the team where he started his professional career, decided to retire at the age of 37 with the end of the season.

Zisis made his EuroLeague debut in 2000, at the age of 17, for AEK. He won the EuroLeague championship with CSKA in 2008 and helped his team reach the final in 2009. He played twice in the EuroLeague Final Four with Montepaschi Siena in 2011 and Fenerbahce in 2015.

In his basketball career in Europe, he played for AEK, Benetton, CSKA Moscow, Montepaschi Siena, Bilbao Basket, UNICS Kazan, Fenerbahçe, Brose Bamberg and Joventut Badalona.
