The International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the governing body of world basketball, and Finnish broadcaster Nelonen Medya signed a new agreement to broadcast the country’s national team basketball matches for the next four years.

Underlining the demand for sports in the country, Nelonen Medya will broadcast all the matches of the Finnish National Team on one of its leading free channels. They will also offer a comprehensive package of other important matches on both their free and encrypted services. Nelonen Media rights will run from 2021 to 2025 and kick off with the upcoming European Qualifiers for the FIBA ​​2023 Basketball World Cup.

Nelonen Medya’s broadcast contract includes the FIBA ​​2023 Basketball World Cup and qualifying windows, the FIBA ​​2025 EuroBasket qualifiers and the FIBA ​​Olympic Qualifying Tournaments until Paris 2024.
