Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Men’s Basketball Team completed the 2nd League basketball competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation as undefeated champions. AGU athletes thus have the right to compete in the 1st League.
The teams of Abdullah Gül University, Nuh Naci Yazgan University, Amasya University and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University participated in the tournament held at the Süleyman Demirel Sports Hall of Erciyes University. AGU Men’s Basketball Team defeated Nevşehir University 58-43 in the first match, Amasya University 48-38 in the second match, and Nuh Naci Yazgan University 81-51 in the last match and won the 1st place undefeated. After these results, the GU athletes were promoted to the 1st League as the tournament champion.
On the other hand, Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz received the champion athletes and managers in the Rectorate Senate Hall and congratulated them for their success.
