ASVEL’s goal is Fenerbahce Beko’s star Nando De Colo

Ending the season in 14th place in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, ASVEL started to work to strengthen its squad.

According to the news of George Zakkas from the Greek media SDNA, ASVEL is interested in Nando De Colo, whose future in Fenerbahçe remains uncertain. The name of the French star, whose contract with the Yellow-Navy Blue team will expire at the end of the season, was also mentioned with Monaco and Valencia recently.

Fenerbahce uncertainty

It is not yet clear whether Nando De Colo will leave Fenerbahce this summer, despite the interest of European teams. It was underlined that the Yellow-Navy Blue team could try to keep the 35-year-old playmaker in the team with a lower salary offer.

The French star averaged 11.9, 2.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the EuroLeague this season.

Who is Nando De Colo?

De Colo, who started his professional basketball career in France’s Cholet team, played for the U20 team in 2005-2006 and had the chance to play in the Cholet A Team from 2006-2007. Working with Erman Kunter in this process, Nando De Colo started to make his mark on the French League, especially in the 2007-2008 season. Nando De Colo, who appeared in the NBA draft in the summer of 2009, was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 53rd pick. The star basketball player, who played for Valencia between 2009-2012, also won the Eurocup championship during this period. De Colo, who signed a two-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs in the summer of 2012, started his NBA adventure. Having spent these two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs and Austin Toros, one of the Development League teams, De Colo finished the season with the Toronto Raptors in 2014. Nando De Colo, who played for CSKA Moscow for five consecutive seasons between the 2014-2019 seasons, won two EuroLeague titles in total. The French basketball player later joined Fenerbahçe’s squad in 2019.
