Bellona Kayseri Basketball, one of the Herbalife Nutrition Women’s Basketball Super League teams, received an invitation to the Europa League (EuroLeague) from FIBA.
Ahmet Bozbey, sporting director of Bellona Kayseri Basketball, one of the Herbalife Nutrition Women’s Basketball Super League teams, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that FIBA invited their teams to the league because some teams that finished the league before them did not want to participate in the 2021-2022 Europa League.
Bozbey said, “We have sent the letter that we have accepted the invitation. Now we are waiting for their approval. Most likely, Bellona Kayseri Basketball will be in the EuroLeague this year. The matter will become clear in the coming days.” said.
Emphasizing that they will be on the court in Europe with a modest team, Bozbey said, “We have proudly represented our country in Europe for years with a much stronger team. This year’s squad is more modest, but I think we will play well with this team.” he said.
