ANDl Celta has a problem. Several thousand subscribers have unsubscribed and fans stop attending Balaídos. That social fracture that exists between the club and its followers, for some time now, may be living its most delicate moment.
In fact, from the Vigo club the match next Sunday against Sevilla is considered a real litmus test, with Balaídos already one hundred percent capacity, to see the response of his followers for this season.
Coudet’s need for points and the fact that the rival is one of the best teams in the championship make the forecasts point to the best attendance of the season, but even so in the Celtic club they fear that there will be many seats that will remain empty. Tickets will go on sale again and a second subscription campaign is planned, given the deficient numbers of the first. The figures are overwhelming.
In the first two games of this season in Balaídos, with a capacity of 7,000 spectators, 5,401 and 5,492 attended, respectively. In the third and fourth, with 10,000 seats, 6,754 and 6,375 were occupied. Only 70% on assistance that was already limited.
Although the club this season has not provided its number of subscribers, making calculations on the statements last August of the president Carlos Mouriño, the social mass would be around 15,000. Due to the works in the stadium, the capacity of Balaídos this season will be slightly higher than 18,000, which today, oddly enough, is far from being covered.
