Chicago Sky wins first ever WNBA title

Chicago Sky, who beat Phoenix Mercury 3-1 in the final series of the American Women’s Basketball League (WNBA), became the champion.

2014 finalist Sky hosted Mercury, who won 3 championships (2007, 2009, 2014) in the 4th game of the series played at Wintrust Arena.

Leading the first quarter 28-25 and the first half 44-37, Mercury entered the last period with a 9-point (54-63) advantage. But Sky, backed by the support of the audience, won the fight 80-74 with his performance in the last 10 minutes.
