In the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the NBA teams, the number of players who could not be included in the squad due to the new type of coronavirus restrictions increased to 7.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that the star player of the team, Karl-Anthony Towns, was removed from the squad because the NBA’s health and safety protocol did not allow it.
Anthony Edwards, Patrick Beverley, Josh Okogie, Taurean Prince, Jarred Vanderbilt and McKinley Wright are also excluded from the squad due to Covid-19 restrictions on the team.
The NBA’s health and safety protocol does not allow the inclusion of those who have contracted Kovid-19 and those who have had previous contact with those who have tested positive. Players who cannot be included in the roster must be quarantined for at least 10 days or two Covid-19 tests negative until 24 hours before the next match.
Karl-Anthony Towns, who was caught with Covid-19 before, played in 30 games this season with an average of 24.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
