The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced that the Flammes Carolo – Çukurova Basketball Club (ÇBK) Mersin Yenişehir Municipality match, which will be played in France in the first leg of the last 16 round of the Women’s European Cup (EuroCup Women), has been postponed due to coronavirus cases.
In the statement made by FIBA; “The EuroCup women’s last 16 match between Flammes and ÇBK Mersin Yenişehir Municipality has been postponed due to COVID-19 related disruptions. The first match of the last 16 rounds between the two teams will be played in Charleville-Mezeres, France on Thursday, January 13. Consultation of FIBA Medical Commission experts and As a result of the review, it was decided that ‘Taking into account all the circumstances, according to the FIBA European Club Competitions Regulations, this match will not be played and will be rescheduled as soon as possible’.
