Çukurova Basketball Club, which matched with Ukraine representative BC Prometey in the last 8 rounds of the FIBA Women’s European Cup (EuroCup Women), is going to Plovdiv, Bulgaria, due to the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
Due to the Ukraine-Russia crisis, the match to be played in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, will start on Thursday, February 24 at 21.00 CET. In the rematch of the pairing, the parties will meet at Mersin Servet Tazegül Sports Hall on Wednesday, March 2 at 19.00.
While the Çukurova Basketball Club (ÇBK) Mersin Yenişehir Municipality, which matched with Ukraine representative BC Prometey in the last 8 rounds of the FIBA Women’s European Cup (EuroCup Women), completed its final preparations, Koç Aziz Akkaya said, “We are aware of our strength and we are going to Bulgaria to win.”
Aiming for the championship in the cup and adding important names to their squad, the orange-dark blue team continued their preparations for the BC Prometey match. While the Prometey match was rehearsed in the training held under the supervision of Head Coach Aziz Akkaya, the technical team was satisfied with the performance of the players.
