This was confirmed by Barcelona in a medical statement about the American’s condition. According to the club note, Dest suffers from an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg. This ailment leaves him out of the Classic at Santiago Bernabeu.
Barça does not get wet and prefers not to say how long Dest should be out. The participation of Dani Alves in the match against the meringues seems, therefore, certain.
A bigger problem will be the absence of the American in the Europa League matches. And it is that, we must remember that Dani Alves is not registered in that competition and Dest was presented as the only right back of the squad for that tournament.
