Jack Leach is available for England’s second LV = insurance test against New Zealand after overcoming concussion

England have named an unchanged XI for the LV= Insurance Second Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge with Jack Leach through after a concussion.

Left-arm spinner Leach was taken off six overs in last week’s first test at Lord’s, which England won by five wickets, after suffering a heavy knockdown at the boundary.

Leg-spinning Matt Parkinson replaced him as England’s first concussion substitute, claiming a wicket on his Test debut.

But Leach has been cleared to play at Nottingham from Friday, in a game you can watch live on Sky Sports Cricket from 10am

Leach’s mandatory seven-day rest period ended Thursday and he was fully involved in the networks.

Captain Ben Stokes appeared to pinch his side while bowling in practice on Wednesday and subsequently seemed hesitant to play a role with the ball at Trent Bridge.

However, England’s decision to choose a spinner over another front-row closer in Craig Overton suggests that Stokes will play a full bowling role.

Somerset pacemaker Overton and Yorkshire uncapped batsman Harry Brook are out once again.

New Zealand will be forced to make at least one change with the multi-talented Colin de Grandhomme ruled out for the remainder of the series due to a heel injury sustained on day three at Lord’s.
