England secured a 2-1 series win over Pakistan with a three-wicket victory in a thrilling thriller at Emirates Old Trafford.

Having been set 155 to win, Jason Roy broke 64 of 36 balls to put the hosts in their path, but fell in the 11th and with the pitch getting harder to hit, the Pakistani spinners took hold, the wickets fell and the tension increased. before England slid over the line with two balls to spare.

Despite facing only two balls, series player Liam Livingstone made a forceful contribution for the third game in a row, coming in with a necessary 12 of eight balls, hammering his first ball for six.

The next ball was caught, but with only six needed by the end of the final, England were able to survive the loss of the second ball from Eoin Morgan and a pair of two from Chris Jordan finished the job.
