Former NFL player arrested in Florida for murder

ANDl former football player Travis Rudolph, who played in the US university league with Florida State University (FSU) and in the NFL, he was arrested after a firearm altercation that left one person dead and another injured.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Rudolph, 25, has been charged with first degree murder and attempted murder in the first degree, and is being held without bail in a jail in this South Florida county.

According to the agency, shortly after midnight police officers responded to the notice of a double shooting and their arrival they discovered that a man had been transferred to a local hospital and another was found dead a short distance away in West Palm Beach.

The agents, who have not detailed the origin of the event, they identified rudolph as the suspected shooter and was arrested shortly thereafter.

The detained was Florida State’s lead receiver in 2015 and 2016, to later sign with the New York Giants and then with the Miami Dolphins. In 2017, with the Giants, he had eight receptions for 101 yards. during his rookie year in his only regular season appearances. In 2018 he came to the Dolphins but a torn ACL knocked him off the field. He had been linked to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Soccer League since December 2019. He had not played for his new team yet as the 2020 season was suspended due to the pandemic. The club, once aware of this event, has decided to stop having him and break his contract.

Rudolph rose to prominence in 2016 when a video of him having lunch with an autistic student during a visit by the FSU team to a high school in Tallahassee, Florida’s capital, went viral.

The Rudolph’s father died in 2017 after a firearm accidentally shot himself in a West Palm Beach strip club. The detainee will have his first court appearance on Thursday
