Mersin representative Çukurova Basketball Club (ÇBK) Yenişehir Municipality Head Coach Aziz Akkaya said that they will go to Ormanspor to win away.
Focusing on the OGM Ormanspor match, which they will play against Ankara on Sunday in the 10th week of the Women’s Basketball Super League, ÇBK continued its preparations with the training at the facility. The performance of the orange-dark blue team, who studied the tactics of the Ormanspor match in the training under the supervision of head coach Aziz Akkaya, pleased the technical team.
Stating that Ormanspor is one of the flash teams of the league, ÇBK Head Coach Aziz Akkaya said, “They have a loss and they are in the second place in the league. Our team also has the strength to beat them. It’s an away game after all. The training has started to come to the level I want gradually. “I’m getting used to the team. This match is important for the ranking in the league. I hope we are going to win,” he said.
Sinem Ataş, one of the players, stated that they want to catch a new winning streak and said, “Our European match, which we were supposed to play this week, was canceled due to Covid cases. We also concentrated on the Turkish league. Our training sessions went very well this week. Ormanspor is only in a loss at the moment. Our target is to defeat them.” He said: “We will beat the game, catch a better rhythm and create new winning streaks. We will go out on the field for this. I hope we will win and return to Mersin.”
The match, which will be played on Sunday, December 26 at Ankara Sait Zarifoğlu Sports Hall, will start at 13.00.
