According to Gregg Rosenthal of Around The NFL, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is one step away from becoming an “all-time legend” in the NFL.

Burrow missed time in his rookie season with a torn ACL, and Rosenthal thinks the turn he got with his team to take the Bengals to the Super Bowl is beyond compare.

“I just think the Cincinnati Bengals are such an incredible story,” Rosenthal said Tuesday. Inside the party (Every night, 9pm, Sky Sports NFL leading up to Super Bowl LVI).

“A team that ended the regular season 10-7 with second quarterback Joe Burrow recovering from an ACL tear this time last year.

“For him to take a franchise like the Bengals to that level and potentially win it, I honestly think you could go back in NFL history and you can’t find a comparison to what Burrow did – if he could finish it with one more win.

“It’s not like he was just on the road like Tom Brady was in his first Super Bowl with [New England] Patriots. He dragged this organization here, he changed the whole city – he is beloved.

“He’s got one more step to go before he’s in his second year in the league and becomes an all-time legend.”

The Bengals arrived in Los Angeles on Tuesday as their preparation for Sunday’s big game against the Rams is live on Sky Sports NFL Sunday at 10:00 pm.

But despite the fact that the team is participating in the third Super Bowl and for the first time since the 1988 season, Rosenthal does not believe that the Bengals will be delighted with this event, and supports them to cope with disappointment.
