One of the highly anticipated events of the NBA All-Star Weekend, the three-point competition brought out a historical champion. Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns became the second tallest player to win the competition.

Brooklyn Nets’ Patty Mills, New Orleans Pelicans’ CJ McCollum, Memphis Grizzlies’ Desmond Bane, Toronto Raptors’ Fred VanVleet, Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine, Los Angeles Clippers’ Luke Kennard, Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young and Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns. The first-round winner was Luke Kennard of the Los Angeles Clippers with 28 points.

Towns became the tallest player to win the competition after Dirk Nowitzki. He also managed to become the first Timberwolves player to win the competition after Kevin Love in 2012.
