Current President Hidayet Türkoğlu and his team were re-elected at the Turkish Basketball Federation Ordinary Election General Assembly. In the vote count, the election of Hidayet Türkoğlu at the end of the 4th ballot box became certain.
Breaking news… In the Turkish Basketball Federation Ordinary Election General Assembly, the current president Hidayet Türkoğlu and his team were re-elected. Hidayet Türkoğlu ran a presidential race with Harun Erdenay and Erman Kunter in the election. In the vote count, the election of Hidayet Türkoğlu at the end of the 4th ballot box became certain.
Hidayet Türkoğlu received the votes of 108 of the 171 delegates who participated, while Harun Erdenay received 42 votes and Erman Kunter 21 votes.
Hidayet Türkoğlu, who was re-elected to the presidency, used the following statements in his post-election statement:
“I really want to thank our entire community. We have done well and made mistakes in this process, but you have appreciated us here again. I want to promise that together with my whole team we will work better for the next 3 years. I hope we will bring Turkish basketball to a better place. Good luck to you.
