ANDRa one Long-awaited news by Osasunism as a flashy signing: Lucas Torró renews his contract with Osasuna and extends it until 2027. The midfielder, who was going to be released next summer, will continue to defend the red shirt for the next four seasons. Without a doubt, an operation that satisfies both parties and that was a priority for the sports management of the Navarrese club.
Torró enjoys his second stage in Pamplona. Torró’s first experience in Osasuna was remarkable. The player landed in Navarre in the season 2017-2018, from Real Madrid after military loan at Real Oviedo. It was at zero cost. Despite the disappointment of not being able to qualify for the playoffs in that campaign, the first after relegation, the man from Alicante was the best.
For that reason, Eintracht Frankfurt noticed him and paid two million euros. However, Torró barely intervened in a fortnight of Bundesliga games due to injuries and despite the promising start of his German experience. The opportunity was given for the player to return to Pamplona and so he did; once again being a key player in Osasuna’s new stage in the First Division.
Despite of interest from other larger clubs, the player’s wish was to stay in Pamplona. And the club was willing to offer him an improvement so that both paths would not separate. This has happened for, they hope, the next four seasons. The player’s termination clause goes from the ten million of his, now, previous contract to the current twenty. Yes, andl Eintracht Frankfurt keeps 30 percent of the capital gains of a future transfer if it were to take place, by virtue of the agreement between both clubs signed in 2020.
