The spectacular performance of goalkeeper Manu Garcíawho avoided the Galician draw in added time with two saves from shots by David Rodríguez and Alayeto, and a goal by Nil Jiménez gave Gimnàstic de Tarragona victory against Racing Club Ferrol, in the semifinal of the playoff for promotion to LaLiga SmartBank.
The team led by Raúl Agné The promotion to the silver category will be played next weekend against Villarreal’s reserve team, who this afternoon eliminated UD Logroñes in A Malata, who had gone ahead in the match.
The two least scored teams faced each other of each one of the groups of the 1RFEF, and that was noticed in Balaídos. It was a very tactical game, in which neither wanted to risk. Racing carried more of the weight of the crash and enjoyed the best chances, but there weren’t too many.
The clearest came in the 17th minute after a cross from Héber that midfielder Fran Manzanara finished off from the second row. The veteran Manu García, with his foot, avoided the Galician goal.

Nàstic knew how to suffer to keep the victory. Álex López threatened the victory in Tarragona with a direct free kick (min. 75) that Manu García cleared with a spectacular hand.
In the final stretch, the Galician team turned and was able to equalize in the discount but again he ran into the visiting goalkeeper, who first prevented David Rodríguez’s goal and on the next play Alayeto’s to give Nàstic the pass to the final.
