The Milwaukee Bucks, one of the American Basketball League (NBA) teams, extended the contract of their head coach Mike Budenholzer.
According to the statement made by the club, a multi-year contract was signed with 52-year-old Budenholzer, who has been in charge of the team for 3 seasons. The US press suggested that the duration of the contract was 3 years.
Under Budenholzer, the Bucks had the best regular season winning percentage in the last 3 years (162 wins, 65 losses) and reached their second NBA championship in their history after 1971 last season.
Budenholzer, who was selected as the head coach of the year in the NBA in 2015 and 2019, coached the Atlanta Hawks from 2013 to 2018, and previously assisted San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich for 17 years.
