It was a really memorable game for many reasons. It went from the Vikings scoring what you thought were nothing more than consolation touchdowns to the sudden thought “we can have a game here” to the incredible comeback victory that played out before our very eyes.
The Colts completely closed in on themselves. They made absolutely no effort to get more points on the board in the second half… they got the Vikings down on the floor but let them get up and ended up paying the price.
I couldn’t believe what I saw when the New England Patriots, after tying with the Las Vegas Raiders by 27 points in the final agon of that game, began to scatter wides in the final game of the game.
Jacobi Meyers saw his long roll across the field intercepted by Chandler Jones, who bulldozed over Patriots quarterback Mack Jones and scored the game-winning touchdown. What were the Patriots thinking?!
It was a chance to take the game into overtime, try to win the game in the extra period and continue on to the playoffs. It could end up costing the Patriots a playoff spot.
It was an absolute headache… and you could see the Patriots coaches going crazy in the background, they didn’t call it a game.
I continue to be impressed with Trevor Lawrence, and the second-year quarterback’s performance led the Jacksonville Jaguars to an unexpected and belated playoff berth.
