The representative of the youth squad, Jorge Mendes, and Mateu Alemany, director of football Barcelona, have maintained several contacts in the last hours that have accelerated the renewal. The agreement, in which the footballer will see his economic conditions improved and will be adjusted to his role for the culé block, will be for the remainder of the season plus five more. The culé institution thus ensures the continuity of one of its reference players and one of its most sought-after brands.
In addition, the directive culé wants to shield to Ansu Fati in the same way that it has done with Pedri and put a clause of 1,000 million euros.
Last week there was already a meeting in Barcelona in which they approached positions, but the distance between the parties was still considerable. On the other hand, in the last hours it has accelerated and the entente is closer. The next few hours will be key.
The 18-year-old footballer has already recovered from his knee injury and has participated in three games, in which he has scored two goals.
