Russell Wilson will be traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos in one of the biggest deals in NFL history.

Wilson, 33, has made 14 starts in 2021, missing games for the first time in his 10-year career with an injury. He had a career-high 3,113 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions.

As part of the deal, the Broncos would receive Wilson and a fourth-round pick, while the Seahawks would receive two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Locke, defenseman Shelby Harris, and tight-end Noah Fant, according to according to Jan Rapoport of NFL.com.

The deal is pending as Wilson waives the no-trade and physical inspection clause, and it can’t be formalized until the NFL’s new year opens on March 16.

The Broncos teased the trade of Cast Away video of Tom Hanks talking to a volleyball he dubbed Wilson.

Several groups are said to have inquired about Russell from the Seahawks, including the Washington High Command, but according to reports, Russell’s first choice was always to go to Denver.

It is said that the strength of the Broncos roster, the franchise’s young wide receivers, their strong defense, and the young coach in Nathaniel Hackett, who had such great success with Aaron Rodgers, convinced Russell to make the move.

For the Broncos, their search for a consistent, high-quality quarterback after the departure of Peyton Manning in 2015 appears to have paid off.

Player-wise, Seattle would benefit from the deal: Harris, 30, recorded 49 tackles, six sacks and one fumble recovery in 16 games last season with the Broncos.
